Jordyn Linklater

It was after his first high school production in 2015 Life Wish that Jordyn decided that acting was the way to go. He started developing his dramatic talent at a young age as a member of KADS where he performed in productions such as The Emperor’s New Groove and Cupid.

Jordyn matriculated in 2017 and placed second in the ATKV National Acting competition in the same year. He also won the award for best actor at various festivals and competitions throughout his high school career.

In 2018 he appeared in a new production, Rocket Boys, which had successful runs at The Drama Factory and Theatre Arts Admin Collective. This production was also included as part of the 2019 Woordfees programme and travelled to The National Arts Festival to in Makhanda to perform on The Fringe. He has also appeared in a short film in the popular 48 hour film project.

He has been actively involved in The Playhouse Theatre where he appeared in the 2016 production The Lion in Winter and held a lead role in the theatre’s popular production of Blood Brothers. In 2018 he took up the role of Daisy in the dark comedy Baby with the Bathwater and played the role of Tommy Keeler in the 2018 musical Annie Get Your Gun. He is currently studying Drama at Stellenbosch University.
