You are in for another round of glitzy ridiculous foot-tapping entertainment with this new jukebox musical! ‘Happy Days Are Here Again… Again!’ will be on stage at the Playhouse Theatre Somerset West for just 8 shows! Presented by Scrumpy Holly the show presents two accomplished Playhouse directors as fab drag queens teamed up with a few iconic dancers and singers in a fun-filled feel-good romp of comedy and pizzazz! Belinda Boutique (Darryl Spijkers) is a mature single Jewish woman who lives for her cat and dog, her sewing machine and many cups of coffee…

She owns a run-down costume shop in the small town of Bonnievale and is battling to make ends meet. Her only company are the household items that come alive including a shady lamp, a flashing fridge and sassy cactus. When Belinda is issued an eviction notice by the cranky local policeman (Blaine Coetzee) her talented high flying drag artist friend, Scrumpy Holly (Jon-paul Ruschenbaum) is summoned to help her avoid being sent to the old age home! They get up to no good and get themselves into strange situations but are still able to reflect on the good times they shared and muse everything through a thumping collection of songs! The playlist includes Dolly Parton, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Kinky Boots, Mama Mia, Chicago, Moulin Rouge – some 90s pop and more. It’s a frolic of local showbiz at its best. There is also a surprise performance by local rock icon Angie Mitchell. Sentimental and sassy, this musical does make use of innuendo and choice language
